UNGER – Clayton Gregory – It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Clayton Gregory Unger on June 23, 2017 in the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current Sk. He was predeceased by his Parents, Brothers Douglas, Norman, Bruce, Sister Jane, Sister in law Laura Unger and Brother in law Milt Broley. Clayton grew up in a number of communities and when his family settled in Beechy he decided to go to Kindersley to take his high school, after graduation he worked for the Scotia Bank in Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Kenora and then returned to Beechy to work in the family business. He married Lois Moore of Prince Albert in Rosetown, SK, in 1959 and raised their children in Beechy. Then in 1987 off they went to Saskatoon, Yellowknife, and Vancouver Island for the next 25 years, returning to live in Swift Current in 2011. No matter where he lived he was always involved in the community be it the Church, Home and School, Sports, Rodeo, Volunteer Fire Dept., leading a youth group, Elks, Lions, always ending up on the executive board. Clayton will be remembered for his honesty, generosity, compassion for others and humor. He was a people person loving to watch them and how they would interact with each other. Most of the people who knew him will always remember him as Mr. Bitchy for he would answer their greeting with a smile and say that he was bitchy today. He experienced a growing number of health issues the last couple of years and spent a lot of time watching sports on TV, being their manager/coach, even if they wouldn’t do what he told them to do but best of all he enjoyed his weekly trip to the casino. The Family would like to thank everyone who has shared in our loss. Thank you to Drs. Van Breda, Serwadda, Dr. Akinfiresoye, the Ambulance Service, and the staff in ICU and on the 2nd floor.
