Please share a memory of Karen to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Karen Meyers, 79, passed away on Saturday, October 1st, 2016 at the Regina General Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Al Meyers. They had shared 55 years of marriage together. Born in Eastend, Saskatchewan on March 26th, 1937, she was the daughter of Louis and Anna Arendt and the big sister of Wayne Arendt. Karen graduated from Teacher’s College and taught in southern Saskatchewan until she married Al Meyers in 1961. From then on she was a full time homemaker who subbed occasionally. Karen’s fondest memories were of the many happy times she spent with her family and with her friends in the church and the larger community. Karen will be remembered for her gentle, caring spirit, her love for the Lord, her family and friends and for her sweet tooth. Karen is survived by her husband, Al, her brother, Wayne (Darlene), her children Shawntel, Miles (Diana Holle-Meyers), Tom, Janelle (Scott Francis) and her grandchildren Alex, Christopher and Laurissa. Donations may be made to the New Tribe Mission https://canada.ntm.org. “Well done good and faithful servant . . . come and share your master’s happiness” (Matt 25:23)
