DUECK – Reuben passed away on January 10, 2025, at his home in Morse, SK. He was born December 14, 1947, in Arden, MB to parents John & Helen Dueck. Reuben grew up on a farm NW of Gouldtown, SK.
He is survived by his siblings; Menno, Laura, Florence, Nancy, Roy, Valerie and Aunt Lisa & Ben Dreidger. He is predeceased by his parents; John & Helen Dueck; brother Walter & sister Lydia.
Reuben enjoyed various genres of music and had a good tenor voice. He played the guitar and madolin. He had an appreciation for art and enjoyed drawing for his own pleasure, in real life and cartooning. He did live modeling for art students. Reuben was athletic and active. His main profession was gyprocking/drywaller, living in and working in all areas of BC and the Yukon. He loved animals, the outdoors, training guard dogs, working with leather, and making all kinds of hand-crafted items. He had a humorous disposition and enjoyed making people laugh. He had a way of bringing humor into different situations and was always full of stories about life, which were usually hilarious. He was a glass half-full person. He will be missed. Funeral arrangements were in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle & Hayden Cappelle.
