HEINRICHS – Samuel:

Sammy passed away on Monday night, December 9, 2024, at home with both his parents by his side.  Sammy was born December 20, 1994, in Swift Current Saskatchewan to Harvey and Lynn Heinrichs.  He was dedicated June 11, 1995, by Tim Friesen at Prairie Baptist Church.  Sammy went to Central School, Irwin and the Swift Current Comp. Hight School, Graduating in 2012.  After he graduated, he started work at Warner Industries which started his journey in the truck and transport industry. He went on to complete his journeyman ticket this past spring.   He worked until his cancer surgery on July 8. He was also employed at the  co-op lumber yard since he was 16 years old and remained there until his surgery in July. (Sam always said co-op was how he made his truck or car payments).

Sam loved to golf, go out with his friends for beers, going to Brooks for bonfires, gaming and buying really good scotch to share a taste over a visit with his family and friends. Sam had an appreciation for the finer things in life and enjoyed the experience of expensive tastes shared with those he was close to.  He loved planning two Batchelor parties for his close friends, Jay and Paul, of which he was a groomsman for Jay and Best man for Paul. “by the way Paul you can keep the driver” Apparently this is an on-going joke between you both.

He was predeceased by his Grandma Edna Laverdiere (2000); Uncle Kenneth Laverdiere (1999); Grandfather, Adelord Laverdiere (2017); and his Grandparents Abraham (2006) and Margaret Heinrichs (1995); and Uncle Jacob Heinrichs (2023).

He leaves behind his parents Harvey and Lynn Heinrichs of Swift Current, sister, Tanya (her husband Steve) Schiedel and niece and nephew Kailyn and Karson from Beaumont, Alberta; His brother Joshua Heinrichs of Edmonton, Alberta; and lots of uncles and aunts and cousins; and all of his amazing friends who have been near and dear to his heart for many years.

Sam loved hanging out with friends no matter where it took them, New York City, Vegas, Toronto, or The Shuswap in BC. He was excited to get his boating license just so he could drive the boat.

He always had a smile on his face and you would never find him in a bad mood.

We will always miss him, our gentle giant and teddy bear. Until we meet again Sammy.
