John “Jack” Neufeld, age 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 25th, at the Clover House in Swift Current, SK. Born on October 24th, 1937, in Swift Current Hospital, Jack was raised in Wymark, Saskatchewan, where he attended school until grade 8. He worked on the family farm alongside his parents and siblings until he met Norma Dyck, whom he affectionately called the love of his life. Jack and Norma were married on September 27th, 1958, in Swift Current.

A determined entrepreneur, Jack demonstrated remarkable focus and dedication throughout his life. He purchased his first farmland and built a thriving family farm with his father's support, for which he was always grateful. He later owned a successful window business, having worked his way up from laborer to owner. Jack took great pride in helping others, spending eight years assisting farmers through the Counseling and Assistance Program. He also enjoyed supporting his children's ventures, often telling them, “I worked hard because I wanted to be able to help you when you needed it.”

One of Jack's greatest joys was the time he spent with his grandchildren. He cherished countless hours with them on the farm, giving them tractor and combine rides, and celebrating milestones such as birthdays, baptisms, graduations, and weddings together. His great-grandchildren were also a tremendous source of joy and pride for him.

Jack leaves behind his beloved wife of 65 years, Norma Neufeld; children Michael (Miriam), Curtis (Bev), Robert (Patsy), Douglas, Kelly (Linso), Steven (Sheri), and Christine (David) Rousseaux; 24 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Bob, Marion (Bymoen), Esther (Wall), Peter (Margie), Sadie Heibert(Stan). Arch (Sylvia), Judy Taylor (Randy) and Kathy (John) And in-laws, Terry Dyck, Jeanine Wiebe, Jim Dyck (Mim), John Dyck (Carol) and Martha Neufeld. Jack was predeceased by his parents, William and Elizabeth Neufeld; his parents-in-law, Peter and Edith Dyck; and siblings Sue McPhee, Bill Neufeld, Helen Regier, Betty Wiens, and in-laws, Elizabeth Neufeld, Diane Dyck, John Wiebe, Phillip Wall, Terry McPhee, Pete Wiens, Bonnie Neufeld and John Regier.
