Obituary of Gladys Alberta Isinghood

ISINGHOOD - Gladys Alberta was born May 8th, 1930, the oldest daughter of Joseph and Evelyn Moe in Craik, Saskatchewan.  Gladys attended school in Craik where she met her lifelong partner, Glenn, whose sister, Edith taught at Craik High School.  Gladys and Glenn married on October 15th, 1955, and lived on Glenn’s family farm, north of Cabri.  With the arrival of Gary in 1964 and Kathy in 1966, their family was complete.  Gladys was a farm wife, working beside Glenn and raising two children.

After the farm sale in 1990, Gladys and Glenn moved into a house in Cabri.  Gladys and Glenn visited many parts of Canada and the United States in their motor homes.  Glenn passed away in 1995.  In 2015 Gladys moved into the Prairie Health Care Centre, across the street from the house.  She passed away in her sleep on August 26th, 2024.  Gladys enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and many games of cribbage at the center. Gladys was blessed with a long and full life and a peaceful passing.

Gladys is survived by her son Gary (Kathy) and daughter Kathy (Stuart), three grandchildren, Alexander (Diedre), Hannah and Keeley, brothers Clifford (Beryl) and Gordon plus numerous nieces and nephews.  Gladys was predeceased by her husband Glenn and sister Hazel.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, SK. Donations in memory of Gladys can be made to the Cabri United Church, Cabri, SK.
