Willie was like a father figure to me. He had very pure heart and spirit. I learned a lot from him in the little time that I knew him for. He was very proud of his children. We used to sit down for coffee at every opportunity, he liked butter chicken with garlic bread. Every conversation we had he mentioned how grateful he is to Shari for raising all the kids. He loved his daughter Lori and talked about how strong she is. He helped people who he didn't even know without expecting anything in return. It was a pleasure to have spent time with him. I miss him.

Shari, our condolences to you and yours.
Willie was a good friend. I will always remember the help and advice he gave while I was putting an addition on our house in Shaunavon.
We spent many hours at the rink watching our kids either playing hockey or figure skating, then we played many games of rec hockey ourselves, both together and as opponents, and then replayed it all the next day, (if we weren't "solving the world's problems"), at Rostad's or one of the other coffee shops in town.

My deepest condolences to Shari and family on the passing of Willie. I had a chat with him just a couple of days before his passing at the Subway in Shaunavon, so hearing the sad news was a surprise. Willie and I were both players on the Green Machine hockey team in Shaunavon for several years. We had lots of fun together with our other team mates. Willie was a good guy and I will miss our little chats over a coffee. Rest peacefully Willie.
