ENS – Harland Dwight (Harley) was born November 27, 1953, at Swift Current Union Hospital and passed away on October 20, 2023, at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, SK. He is survived by his daughter Katrina of Shaunavon, his sister Delia’s daughter, Jazmyn (Troy) of Medicine Hat; brother Hildor (Lauretta) and girls of Swift Current; Denise (Bob) and family, Medicine Hat, AB; Dawn and family of Medicine Hat; Tyler of Swift Current; Rhonda (Dale) and family of Herbert, SK. Harland was predeceased by his parents Willie G. and Mary Ens and his big sister Delia Ens.

Harland spent his school years at Swift Current. After graduation he had many various jobs. He worked for a farmer in Robsart, SK, a grader operator for the R.M. of Lac Pelletier, and operated an earth mover helping twin the #1 Highway. He also worked at a sawmill in Williams Lake, B.C. While he was working at Caterpillar in Regina spray welding tracks, he got his Welding ticket. He then worked at Dura Products where he acquired his Machinist ticket as well and worked there until his health was failing and he retired.

Harland caught the motorcycle bug at an early age and his greatest joy was going on trips on his Harley. He went to Sturgis several times and went to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the 100th Anniversary of Harley Davidson. He also took many trips to B.C. and Calgary to a friend’s birthday party. He loved to tinker in the garage on his lathe and created many things. Harland will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
