ANDERSEN – Ruth – The family of Ruth Andersen (nee Jesse) announce with sorrow her passing Dec 06, 2010 at the age of 90. She was born in Morse, Sask. on Jan.28, 1920. She attended CrocusHillSchool and moved to Regina, where she worked as a domestic. She met and married Bern Bernhardt Andersen in 1941.
Ruth and Bern raised three sons while living in various towns and cities. She was predeased by her husband in 1967. Ruth spent the next forty-three years looking after her family, traveling, homemaking, and involving herself in many activities including senior sports. In addition to her husband, Ruth was also predeceased by her parents, five sisters, and three brothers. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her three sons and families….Allan (Joyce), Dave (Pat), and Ken (Sharon); seven grandchildren….Stephen (Christina), Trevor, Heather (Todd), Ryan, Shawn (Jessica), Peggy and Robert; and four great grandchildren….Christian, Conner, Kianna and Daniel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Ruth’s life was held at Parkside Memorial Funeral Home (69-4th Ave. N.E) Swift Current, at 11am on Fri. Dec.10, 2010. She was laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery following the service. The family wish to thank Dorothy Gerbrandt and staff of Gerbrandt Homes for the care and consideration bestowed on our mother toward the end of her life.
