Clara Finkbeiner Obituary
Clara Irene Finkbeiner (nee Wall), age 77, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026 at The Meadows Care Home in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. She was born October 5, 1948 in Swift Current to Jacob and Agnes Wall, the third child of six siblings.
Clara grew up in Wymark enjoying whatever they had to play with and making the most of anything they found. She enjoyed attending Sunday School at Wymark Church and Wymark School for her full education before entering her well-suited career in customer service roles. First at the Co-op meat department and then to OK Economy, finishing her career with 26 years at Treen Packers. She was the face of those businesses, customers often insisting on being served by Clara. Even after retirement she took a second career generally helping and cleaning for senior women who needed the support of a caring person that could relate to them. Clara was happiest when everyone was well taken care of by her.
At the age of 20 she met Dale at a New Years Eve Party. They dated until they were wed at Alliance Church on August 15, 1970. They first called Riverside Drive home until 1981 when they purchased their house on Allen Drive, living there for over forty years, most recently moving to the house with an amazing view on 4th Ave SE. Clara's drive for beauty meant the home she kept was well maintained and decorated for every season and holiday. That care extended to the family camper and cabin, summer weekends being spent at the lake. Her sense of humour was persistent and wherever there was a dog to be loved Grandma was there and every dog loved her, right back!
Clara is survived by her husband, Dale, son, Jason, Daughter-in-law, Angela, Granddaughter, Fiona, siblings Fred (Linda) Wall, Edna Redmond and Bertha Wall as well as sisters-in-law Doreen Keller and Marillyn Braun, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Agnes, father, Jacob, sister Eva and brother John, brothers-in-law, Alan Speir and Dale Redmond, Jim Keller, Harvey Braun, brother-in-law Clarence Jockims and sister-in-law Eleanor Jockims, brother-in-law Don Finkbeiner and sister-in-law Florence Finkbeiner, niece Lorenne Wall and nephew Trevor Funk.
"Neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:38-39
