WIEBE - Mary: June 12, 1930 - June 11, 2026

Mary Wiebe, age 95, went to meet her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, June 11,2026 with her loving family by her side. Mary is survived by her children; Lorraine (Lance) Sawatsky, Judy Reddekopp, Rod (Gail) Wiebe, William (Ruth) Wiebe, and Sue(Marty) Harder. As well, her grandchildren, Doug(Jaime) Penner, Theresa Funk, Tim( Melissa) Sawatsky, Kelly Sawatsky, Jaymie Freeman, Amanda Wiebe, Pamela (Nathan) Klassen, Ashley(Dustin) Garies, Nicole, Andrew and Travis (Jacie) Wiebe, Brandon Harder, Chelsea Fataki, Brooklyn Harder , and Bryana Wiebe; her 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson ; her brother Abe Froese, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband John, and her youngest son James , as well as son in laws William Penner and John Reddekopp, and grandson in law Todd Wiebe. Also , her parents Henry and Agatha Froese, and siblings, Henry, Helen ,George, Jake, Agatha, Margaret, Tiena and Anne.

Mary was born on June 12, 1930. She lived her young life in Schoenfeld, Saskatchewan and a short time in the Vanderhoof, BC area. At age 16, Mom met the love of her life, John Wiebe, along the Schoenfeldt street, and married 4 years later on Sept 2, 1951. They shared 65 years , and together they farmed and raised their six children. Mom was a very hard worker. She tended large gardens, and did a lot of wonderful cooking, and Mom was known for baking the best bread and buns ever! Her greatest joy were her six children and her grandchildren, whom she prayed for daily. She left us all with a beautiful example of faith and personal relationship with Christ, thank you Mama ! Mom was very resilient, amidst often difficult challenges, and she lived a rewarding and full life, right up until an hour before her 96th birthday. Although we were planning a party for her, this year she got to spend her birthday in the presence of her wonderful Saviour along with Dad ! Her biggest earthly passion was spending time with us kids, and starting her day with coffees at A&W, which she enjoyed up until her final few days. Since Dads passing, she also made many friends in her home at Golden West Manor.

Mom, we cherish each day we got to spend with you, but now rejoice that you got to go “Home”, where we look so forward to seeing you again !!

A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M.on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, at the Church of the Open Bible
