Monica `Mona` Alicia Schultz (Dupont) June 10,1928 – December 6 , 2025 Mona, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother passed away peacefully on Saturday December 6 at the age of 97 years at the Gull Lake Care Centre.

Mona leaves to mourn her children; Raymond (Janice), Judy ( Glenn), Dorothy (Murray) Roy (Val) Florence (Steve) Laurie (Dana), 14 Grandchildren and 26 Great Grandchildren. Mona was born on the Dupont Homestead in June of 1928, where she was raised, one of eight siblings. Mona attended school at Donnellyville, and it was there, at one of the many dances, that she met her husband, Bill. They were married in 1946 and shared 62 years together until Bills passing in May of 2008. Mona and Bill raised their six children on the Dupont Homestead, where they worked together farming from 1951 til 2007.

Mona enjoyed gardening, producing strawberries and raspberries. There was always a freezer full of fresh vegetables Her homemade buns and raisin pie were always a hit.  Mona enjoyed having company and made many meals in her kitchen, often full of visiting family and friends.  She also hosted countless Family reunions on the farm. They left the Farm and moved into Herbert October of 2007. While in Herbert, Mona became an active member of the Hospital Auxillary and was named to the Herbert Heritage Hall of Fame.  Mona attended numerous bake sales and fundraisers.

After Bills passing Mona met Harvey Jahnke. They were married in September of 2010 and lived in Herbert until moving to Swift Current. They resided at Riverview Estates, where Harvey passed in 2020. Highlights of their life together included trips to California and Thailand. Mona blended well with the Jahnke family and enjoyed spending time with them.  Mona is predeceased by her parents Louis and Elizabeth Dupont. Brothers; Lorne, Fred, Frank and Les and sisters; Margaret, Betty and Lillian. Husbands Bill and Harvey and a grandchild in infancy. Mona lived a full happy life, particularly enjoying having family around her. She will be greatly missed. Arrangements are in care of Parkside Memorial Funeral Home – Ryan Cappelle, Hayden Cappelle, Bob Cappelle. A private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life at a later date.
