MACKAY - Shane was born on March 29, 1996, and from the very beginning, he brought light and joy to those around him. He will be deeply missed by his loving parents, Richard Mackay (Connie) and April Hughes (Norman), his spouse Paige Chesney,  his brothers Craig Gabriel (Candice), Nick Mackay (Lily), Mason Mackay (Shanaye), and Tyler Mackay (Anu), cherished grandparents Percy and Gerry-Ann Hughes, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and a large circle of close friends who were like family to him.

For the past eight years, Shane dedicated himself to working in the oil and gas industry. He was known for his willingness to lend a hand to others and his playfulness. He was the life of the party and there for a good time. Shane had a good heart and loved his family and friends deeply.

Sports were a big part of Shane’s life, and he built lasting friendships and strong bonds with his teammates both on and off the field. Whether playing, cheering, or just enjoying the game, he found joy in the camaraderie and competition that sports brought into his life.

Shane will forever be remembered for his laughter, sense of humour, and the love he shared so freely. Though his time with us was far too short, his impact will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of life Service will be held on Friday October 24th, 2025 at 1pm at Tompkins community centre, Tompkins, SK A eulogy Gordi Cameron will be read with a lunch to follow. Donations in memory of Shane can be made to the
