Diana Gail Dyck (nee Johnson) was born February 28, 1961 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. She moved around in her younger years before settling down in Rosenhof with the love of her life, Vernon Dyck.
Diana lived a life full of love and devotion. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, auntie, relative, and friend. She was often found having a good visit with friends and family, even if it was a quick chat in the parking lot or when out for coffee at Spring’s or Kitty’s.
Diana lived a selfless life, caring for Vern full-time after his stroke in 1991 while also raising her three children. She was considerate and generous, often going out of her way to give quietly to those around her when she learned of their needs.
Diana loved many things, but her first love was her family. She was always conscientious to plan family events and would go to great lengths to ensure that no one was left out. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye, and she would often be seen making sure they had just the right snacks, or that they were picked up from school to go do something special.
Diana loved going for coffee with Vern and on girls’ dates with her daughters. She always ensured that each one of her children felt loved in all the ways they needed. She also enjoyed traveling and taking the family on trips to BC. Diana had a soft spot for her pets, lovingly caring for the family dog, Piper, long term cat sitting Leo, and often having Eleanor over for a sleepover.
Diana leaves behind to celebrate her memory, Vernon Dyck (husband of 42 years), her children, Shaun (Victoria), Shila (Eric), and Shaylynn (Trent). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Blayse and Bruin (Shila and Eric), Ellery, Cassian, Colter (Shaun and Victoria), and grandfurbabies Leo and Eleanor (Shaylynn and Trent). Also celebrating Diana are her many relatives and predeceased loved ones.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Cypress Regional Hospital for their compassionate care, as well as the Home Care staff who lovingly cared for Diana. Additionally, they would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ben and Justine, their social workers who have been with them every step of the way, advocating and showing the utmost compassion and care. Finally, they would like to express their deepest appreciation to their family and friends for their incredible support financially, through condolences, meals, and check-in's.
