Earl Wallace Obituary

WALLACE – Earl John was born on the farm near Pennant, SK on June 22, 1939. This was his home and his favorite place and thanks to his son, Brad, he was able to live out his later years in comfort there.

Earl grew up in Pennant and lived a storied career. He worked as a mechanic with Rose Motors, a battery operator (with many interesting characters), and most importantly, a farmer. His wealth of knowledge on farm living allowed him to make a living and build a home for his family.

He loved playing games with people, from dice and crib to crokinole. He always had luck and humor on his side. Other hobbies befitting his well-rounded nature included building model trains, old time dancing, fishing, and gardening. He was a community man who was involved with the Pennant Lions Club, Pennant Curling Club, and the Pennant School Board.

Earl is survived by his wife, Thelma Wallace (Windsor); daughter, Tammy Wallace (Paul Perkins); son, Bradley Wallace; and grandchildren, Jesse Wallace-Perkins (Ashleigh Winter) and Jamie Wallace-Perkins (Vineet Deo). He is pre-deceased by his siblings James Wallace, Grace Rose (Edgar), Joyce Wallace, Jessie Hanson (Ken), and Ed Wallace (Carrol).

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pennant Memorial Hall for all able to Celebrate Earl’s life with a luncheon will follow.

His family would like to thank the staff at the Meadows Care Home for their compassion and dedication to dad’s care. Donations in memory of Earl can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Saskatchewan - 2550 12 Ave, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
