Beryl Ann Chapman, aged 83, passed away on June 6, 2025, at The Meadows Care Home in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Beryl is survived by her son, Rod, his wife Loralee and their son Karlson.  Her granddaughter Shayla. Brothers Ross, Leo (Yvonne) and sister-in-law Linda as well as well as nieces, Terri, Rhonda, Pam, and Bryenna and nephew Kelsey.

She is predeceased by her partner Don Harris, daughter Kim, parents Mary and Jack Chapman and her brother Bill. 

Beryl knew from a young age she wanted to be a hairdresser, getting her certificate from Marvel Hairdressing School in 1958.  She looked forward to going to the shop every day and cherished the friendships she made with her colleagues and many customers over the years until she retired in 2020. 

In her younger years, she loved spending a day at the racetrack with her family.  Eventually owning three racehorses.

Beryl and Don were fortunate to have an early retirement together.  During this time, they liked to spend winters in Palm Springs.  Here they enjoyed the sun, pools and many rounds of golf.  They travelled to Vegas to play the slots and watch various shows, some of which might have included an Elvis impersonator.  In Regina, they liked to go for walks with their dog Rocky.  In the spring and summer, you would often see Beryl sitting on her balcony reading her favorite Danielle Steele novel. Beryl was a passionate Saskatchewan Roughrider fan, having season tickets for many years. 

Beryl loved her son Rod and spending time with him brought her great joy.  The two of them shared a special bond and they just liked being together.  Lunch dates, golf games, Chapman family gatherings and Christmas were cherished times by both. 

Beryl and Karlson shared a bond that was gentle, and kind filled with unconditional love and happiness.  When together, the two always had to be side by side, listening to music, watching T.V or hitting the occasional golf ball in the backyard. 

The staff at the Meadows had a special place in her heart and we are grateful for everything they did for her. 

Beryl will be dearly missed and is forever in our hearts.

The Memorial Service to honour Beryl's life will be held at 2 PM on Friday, June 20th, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church (665 Central Ave N)
