Bob Jorgensen Obituary

JORGENSEN – Robert “Bob” Allan

In loving memory of Robert (Bob) Allan Jorgensen (December 2nd, 1944 – May 1st, 2025) with broken hearts, we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Allan Jorgensen, age 80, on May 1st, 2025, on the Jorgensen family farm, a place he loved deeply and devoted his life to.

Bob was born on December 2nd, 1944, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, to Fred and Maisie Jorgensen. He grew up with values rooted in the importance of family, community, and a love for farming. He began school in Pambrun in 1951 and graduated from C.H. Peart (Vanguard) in 1963. He later earned a diploma in agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan.

Bob then returned to the family homestead, farming wasn’t just his occupation it was his joy, purpose, and pride. He cared deeply for the land and the loved ones who worked alongside him to grow the Jorgensen farm. Alongside the work he loved, Bob enjoyed puzzling, curling, playing fastball, hunting, watching his grandkids partake in sports, and staying active in his community. He proudly led the Pambrun 4-H club for ten years and served on several local boards, including the Pambrun Hall Board, Wheat Pool Committee, Vanguard School Board, Pambrun Recreation Board, and the Vanguard United Church Board.

Above all Bob’s greatest joy came from his loving wife, Julie, and the life they built full of love, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to family. Bob was a proud and devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather he loved nothing more than the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whether helping on the farm, hunting, or cheering proudly from the front row at countless baseball games, volleyball matches, track meets, music festivals or hockey games. He rarely missed a game or a chance to show his support to those he loved most.

Nothing made Bob prouder than watching his children and grandchildren grow, not just in life, but on the land he loved. He took pride in teaching his grandchildren the skills of farming, from teaching them to run the combine, pro-till, work with livestock, or care for the land. No greater joy could be seen than when Bob was passing down his skills and watching those he truly loved take part in the legacy he spent his life building.

Bob survived by his best friend and wife Julie, and their children: daughter Laura (Darcy) Lamb, grandchildren Curtis (Amy) Jorgensen, Nicholas (Kelly) Lamb, Samantha, and Alicia, great-grandchildren Maisy,  Esmee, Jason, Scarlett, and Benjamin; son Lance (Tania Demencuik) Jorgensen, grandchildren Dakota, Rory, Ryder, Blaize, and Dawson; daughter Nicole (Cory) Wiebe, grandchildren Cole, Jayda, and Jake; daughter Marlene (Tyler) Graham, grandchildren Peyton, Caleb, and Annika.  He is also survived by his sister Jean Kempel, brother Tom (Doreen) Runcie, sister-in-law Norma (Marvin) Busse, brother-in-law Dennis Stolz, and various nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Maisie Jorgensen, sister Kay and brother-in-law Lloyd Laughlin, brother-in-law Otto Kempel, sister-in-law Gladys Stolz, and brother-in-law Stanley Anderson.

Bob’s legacy highlights immense strength, steady love, and deep roots. Though his boots now sit still, his footprints remain on the land he loved, the lives he touched, and in the family that was grateful to call him dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, and husband.
