I feel fortunate to have witnessed the deep love and devotion between Len and Betty while I was visiting the family at Lac Pelletier with Bruce.
As Betty's health started to decline, Len was always by her side offering support and reassurance that was much needed.
My sincere condolences to Len and the Menzies family.

What can I say about my dear Aunt Betty, that everyone doesn’t know about her already. Such a kind and caring, beautiful person, inside and out.
My family took numerous trips to Swift Current over the years, to spend time with their family during the summer and sometimes at Christmas.
I remember her always having Christmas crackers on her decorated table. That was my first experience with them and absolutely loved it!
Ever since I was a child, I remember Aunt Betty being in the kitchen a lot of the time. During some of that time, she would be making my favorite cookie ever! Other times, she would be making Uncle Leonard’s daily milk shake.
Aunt Betty was the perfect match for my Uncle Leonard. Always willing to go along with any adventure that he suggested. So many adventures she had.
Our family would meet up with them when they were en route to Cuba. Aunt Betty always made sure to have the Pringles packed!
I once went on a trip to Hawaii while they were there. There was Aunt Betty in the kitchen again, chopping up the pineapple for everyone.
She always had time to talk to you, too, even with that busy household and everyone wanting her ear.
My Aunt Betty created so many wonderful memories for me and I will always carry fond memories of her.
I feel so lucky that she came into the Menzies family!

My condolences to the family ... I used to deliver the Swift Current Sun to the optical shop about 60 years ago, and fondly recall Leonard and Betty. That was at 140 Central Avenue (above MacLeods) ... up the stairs, follow the hallway to the left and on the right hand side of the hall. That upstairs location included Grace Alton (Cancer Society) , Keith Saddlemeyer (law office) and Norm Sanuelson (HFC).
