DAHL – VIOLET

DAHL – Violet – passed away peacefully at Cypress House on January 28, 2018 at 104 years of age.  Violet was born August 30, 1913 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.  During her working years she was employed as a clerk with the City of Swift Current and later with W.W. Cooper store as well as assisting with the family business.  She married Robert C. Dahl in 1943 and continued to reside in Swift Current until the time of her death.  She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years Robert C. Dahl in 2011, her father Maurice Leavesley in 1914, her mother Florence Fox in 1964, her brother Maurice in 1995 and sister in law Marie in 1962.  She is survived by her son Robert M. Dahl of Swift Current and her daughter Nancy (Tim) Brady, grandchildren, Megan Brady (lain de la mare) and Kyle Brady of Whitehorse, YK.  At Violet’s request there will be no service held.  In memory of Violet donations may be made to the Swift Current S.P.C.A.     I enjoyed getting to know Violet so much, while working at Cypress House. She was such a strong-willed lady, with much determination. Violet, told me many stories, and made me laugh. I have thought of her often. May she now rest in peace.
